Hehehe

Sorry I haven't posted in the past couple days. Truthfully I haven't had any time before now.

Monday: I posted that day

Tuesday: I went to the farm with Mom and Sarah, came back, got ready and went to my grandma's house for the rest of the night to celebrate birthdays.

Wednesday: Left at about 8:00, did errands, had voice lessons, and then went to my grandma's house for a sleepover.

Today: Spent the morning at Nana's house, came home, and now I'm here posting. So, that's why I haven't before this. Haven't had a moment of free time. :)

Ok, so I guess first I should post about Baby Cameron. Mom is 16 weeks along tomorrow.
She's starting to look big and pregnant-looking. :) We don't know the gender yet. I think we'll find that out on either September 10th or 17th. Not sure which. Hannah is convinced it's going to be a boy and thinks Michael is a good name for the baby. I think it's a girl and I like the name Faith. Also, I think Dad likes the name Steven. Apparently the rest of my family thinks it's going to be a boy. Sarah and I are the only ones who want a girl. :) So that's the update. I guess there won't really be anything else to post about Baby until we find out the gender, and that's a month away. :( Oh well. I can hardly believe she's almost 16 weeks along already! Time certainly flies.

Let's see. I was going to post about mini golfing, but truthfully it isn't very interesting. We have no clue who won because somehow the score card got messed up halfway into it, so we quit that. The little kids were like 3 holes in front of the rest of us, don't ask me how that happened. I'm really not sure.

After we finished, Dad went with the rest of the kids to the bumper boats, and Mom went with me to the race cars. I know this may seem really silly, but I want to drive SO BAD! (And anyone who knows me in person I'm sure has heard me talk on and on and on about how excited I am for January, when I can start learning. ;) ) So, I decided I would much rather drive around a race track then get soaked by bumper boat squirt guns. :) Although, you know what's really ackward? Trying to buckle your seat belt modestly when it has to go between your legs and you're wearing a skirt. :D Hehe. Thank goodness it was a pretty loose seat belt.

After the bumper boats and racing, we went inside and played in the arcade for a little while. I didn't do much of anything, because every time Mom or Dad would give me tokens, I'd end up giving them away to someone else who used theirs, but found another game that they REALLY wanted to play. We never get to do that kind of thing, and truthfully there wasn't anything very interesting to me, so I gave all my tokens away. I prefer the games that are based on game shows, like Wheel of Fortune or Deal or No Deal. Although, I did play the Wheel of Fortune game, and it was such a rip off. Guess how many tickets I ended up getting out of it? 1. 1 measly ticket. I actually ended up getting 2 though because someone had left one on the game. It's not like I stink at games like that, I'm actually pretty good at them, I just don't think they made the Wheel of Fortune game very well. The Deal or No Deal one is WAY better, in my opinion.

After we finished all that we went to Albertsons and got ice cream and all the toppings. My favorite was the Reeses Pieces. :D Reeses Pieces are my favorite candy in the whole world, (although I'm crazy about anything with chocolate and peanut butter) and that on vanilla ice cream is like magic. :) So, we came home, ate it, and then went into our rooms for bed where I stayed up until like 10:30 because I was hyped up on sugar and was not tired in the least bit. :D

Oh hey. I just realized something. I just went on and on about something that I said I really wasn't going to post about because it wasn't too interesting. :D Oops. Oh well. I guess my rambling spirit gets the better of me sometimes. :)

Well, that's all I'm going to post about today. I'll post about the birthday celebration and my sleepover tomorrow, k?

Happy Birthday Annabeth! (plus some NEWS!!!)

Wednesday, June 6, 2012,was Annabeth's 5th birthday. Wow. Time goes by fast. It seems like just yesterday she was a little newborn, coming home in her carrier from the hospital. Wow.

Annabeth is one of the sweetest people that you will EVER meet. She almost always has a smile on her face. Pretty much whatever you ask her to do, she'll do. She's always singing and dancing, (I seriously think she is going to be a REALLY great singer some day) she's always making you laugh, and that's only part of what I could say. I could go on and on and on. But, for time's sake I should keep this somewhat short.

Some facts about her:

1. She LOVES Strawberry Shortcake
2. Like I said earlier, she loves to sing.
3. This one's pretty interesting. One minute she could love you like crazy, and hug and kiss you like you've never seen before. Then the next minute she doesn't want to have anything to do with you and she's latched onto someone else. :)
4. She has certain shoes for everything. She has church shoes, bowling shoes, (just a regular pair of shoes, but she wore them when we went bowling once, so now they're her bowling shoes) Breaker's shoes, (these are shoes that she wore when we went to Breaker's Water Park last summer) and pretty much whatever else you can think of. She has to have a certain pair of shoes for every occasion.
5. She's got such a sweet personality, and is going to make a GREAT big sister.

Ok, so now is where you go back and go, 'Huh? Did I read that right?' Well, I can assure you did. And that's where the news comes in. Mom's gonna have a BABY!!!!! We're all SO excited. We're trying to decide whether it's a boy or a girl, because either one is going to break a pattern. Mom thinks it's a boy because she's had a boy in winter every 7 years, (the baby will be born in January. Jonathan will be 14 in December and David will be 7 in January) and I think it's going to be a girl because the birth order went... girl, boy, girl, miscarriage, girl, boy, girl, miscarriage.... So it makes sense that this will be a girl, doesn't it??? Mom thinks that this isn't going to be our last baby though. She says that God wants us to have 3 babies in each house. :D Jonathan, Hannah and I were born in our old house, Sarah, David and Annabeth were born here, and by the time this baby is born we'll be down at the farm. So she says that we'll have to have 2 more. :D She says that she'll go straight from changing her baby's diapers to changing her grandbaby's daipers. :) And I suppose if she has 3 more it's pretty possible. :) I don't know what's going to happen, but It's fun to think about.

I'm just glad that Mom doesn't get morning sickness. She's been feeling pretty good since she found out, except for some really bad lower back pain. But that's passed, which is good.  Now she's just really tired.

Surprise party and video

Ok. So I have 2 good reasons why I didn't post on Thursday or Saturday. I didn't post on Thursday because I wasn't here. For quite a bit of the day I was at violin lessons, and then I was on a sleepover at my grand parent's house. Plus it didn't help that I really didn't have anything to post about.

Saturday we had something big going on that I was planning on posting about, and we got TONS of pictures, but by the time we got home it was after bed time. So, I wasn't able to post. But, I'm here now, ready to post about what happened yesterday. Surprise party!!!!!

One of Mom's really good friends is turning 50 on the 22nd, and we were planning to have a party on the 21st. That party she knew about. But then Mom and Mr. Goodale decided that it would be more fun to do a surprise party on the 14th...Saturday. Mom (and Hannah and I) spent weeks preparing for this party, and Mom did a SUPER job of keeping Mrs. Goodale from knowing about it. Mom told her that it was a 'becoming of age' party for Jonathan for his 13th birthday. :) So, come Saturday we get up, get ready, and leave. We did some errands, and then Dad dropped us and the food off at church. (that's where we were having the party) Then Dad went to go pick up Wes and Will MacDonald, because the rest of their family was sick and couldn't come . :-( In the meantime, the rest of us stayed and got set up. Mom made the fellowship hall look pretty neat. I think she could make a dump look festive if she had to. :) Well, eventually people started showing up, and before long it was 3:00, which was when the party was. Everyone was there except for the Goodales, their daughter and her husband who were driving in from San Diego, some friends of theirs who came in from Phoenix, and our pastor's family. When the Goodale's showed up we kept talking so that we didn't give it away by being too quiet, and waited for her to come in. The look on her face was priceless. And then when she found out that her daughter and son-in-law were coming for the party, she was so thrilled.

We played for a little while, and then ate. Mom got 2 6 foot long sub sandwiches from Fry's, and we had those along with chips, salsa, a veggie tray, and macaroni salad. It was pretty good. So then we went and played some more, and then had cake. Because of course you have to let your food digest before you have cake. :) And then there was some MORE playing, and then the part that made me nervous came.

Mrs. Goodale had been planning for a while to sing a song at the party, and week before last at church she asked Wes to play guitar, and then last week she asked me to sing with her! I was super nervous about it since I only had a week to practice, but it made it better when we decided that I was only going to sing the chorus. So, come Saturday we go into one of the rooms at church and close the door, and then went out and performed it! I didn't think my part went very well, but that's just me. Here's a video.

And by way, just to let you know, in the video you can see my face kind of curl up in a smile quite a few times, and that's because I kept looking over past Dad (who was taking the video) and kept seeing Will stuff one chip after another in his mouth, and I just couldn't help smiling. I actually almost burst out laughing. He just kept sitting there, eating the whole time. So that's why I kept smiling a little bit. :)

Hello my beloved blog readers

(I did write this on Tuesday, it just didn't get posted until today)

Ok, so I know that I haven't been very good at this whole blogging thing, but just to let you know, out of my list of New Years resolutions, keeping better care of my blog was number 3 on my list. That's how important you all are to me. So, part of my resolution was to try and post 3 times a week. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I'm not sure why I chose those days but I did. So, please expect a post from me on those days, unless something exciting happens and I HAVE to post about it right then. It probably will happen more than once. :)

We had a wonderful Christmas, and I hope everyone else did too. I would post pictures but somehow they ended up in someplace other than they need to be, so for some reason I can't get to them through Blogger. So, that won't work. Not only those pictures, but ones from Jonathan's birthday on the 22nd of December and going to Winterhaven with some friends that night. I'll keep trying to get to them and hopefully I'll eventually get to post them. We'll see.

Not that much has happened recently. Jonathan's birthday was on the 22nd of December and David's was on the 3rd of this month. I think they really like having birthdays so close to each other. :)

Ever since the first of the year Mom has been trying to take sugar and grains out of our diet, which is ok. I still miss having dessert, but we've been having some good new food. Well, not all of it was so good, we ALL decided that, but overall it's been ok. The hardest part is not being able to have pasta, potatoes or bread very often, because the grains make some of the kids in the house go CRAZY. Seriously. I happen to share a room with 2 of them, and it kind of makes bed time... well.... not exactly very fun. (or quiet)  :)

We haven't been to the farm in a couple of weeks. All of last weekend Dad spent working on cabinets and doors for the house. He hasn't had much time to do it lately, so it was nice that he was able to get some things done.

My Etsy shop is going ok. I haven't sold anything since May, but I'm not complaining. I still love making things with my hands whether I sell them or not. And I'm considering donating some of them to Crisis Pregnency Center or maybe a nursing home. I'm not sure.

By the way, as of right now my header picture is HUGE. I know it's not right, and I'm trying to fix it. But since I haven't changed my header picture or my template since I started this blog last May, I thought it was time for a change. So, I'll keep working on it.

School is going ok. I'm almost done with 10th grade, and I hope to graduate by the end of the year. I know that it's a pretty big ambition, but even if I don't make it, at least I have a goal.

Ok, so I know this has been a pretty random post. And all of my posts won't be this random. Just this one. So, I'll sign off for now and I'll talk to you on Thursday!

The last week.

So, tons of things happened to us this week, which I could have turned into 4 posts, but I seem to have a habit of just doing one huge post every once in a while. So, according to tradition, be prepared for a long post. It all started last Sunday when I got a very special surprise from Dad.....

So, we have a tractor at the farm, but it dosen't work. There's something wrong with the hydraulics on it, and it needs to be fixed. The only problem is that the only way that we can get it fixed is if we take it on the trailer. The only problem with that is that there's a flat tire on the trailer. So Dad and the boys went on Sunday morning to get a tire so we can get the trailer fixed so we can get the tractor fixed. Long story. So they left, and our day went on as normal. We did what we needed to in the morning, ate lunch, and went into quiet time. Since it was a Sunday, I didn't have to do school, so Hannah came in with me so we could watch The Blind Side. (I don't have a tv in my room, but I do have a computer without the intenet that I do my school on.) We were about 30 minutes into the movie when Dad came in my room. He was carrying a grocery bag. "Kayla, come out here please." He said. So he and I walked out to the family room. He sat down on the couch, and said "I wanted to get you a special birthday present on your birthday, but I didn't have the money. Now I do, so I have something for you." Right then, he pulled out of the bag a Itunes gift card and a case for an IPod Touch. (Right here I'm going to stop. I've been wanting an Ipod Touch for a long time, and have been saving up for it. ) "That is for your Ipod when you get one." And right then he reached into his pocket, and pulled out and Ipod Touch!!!!! "Like this."

I have been having so much fun with my Ipod lately. I've got all of my favorite songs on it, I can check the email, I've got the Bible on it, and some games. And I'm not the only one having fun with it. For the first few days pretty much the only thing I heard was... "Kayla, can I play a game?" "I want to play!" "Kayla!" "Please, can I play?" :) It's nice, because now the only people who really ask me to play are Jonathan, Hannah and Sarah. 

Wednesday we went to Breakers Water Park with the MacDonalds, Emily, Daniel, and Aunt Lori. It was a BLAST!!!! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. The only problem was that we were having so much fun that we didn't get any pictures. (Speaking of that, Mrs. MacDonald, can you please forward me those pictures you took?) I can't even begin to tell you the fun that it was. There were a bunch of slides, a HUGE wave pool, a little kids area, There was even a slide that almost went at a 90* angle straight down. (Literally!) It was so fun. 

Friday we had the Guglar family over for dinner. It was such a nice time. There was a lot of laughing, playing and eating involved. Here are some pictures.

Sunday was the Summer Birthday party at our house. It was a lot of fun.  We were celebrating 13 birthdays, which meant a lot of celebrating! Here are some pictures.

These are the coolest candles. When you light them they blow up, then they open up into a flower, spin around and start singing 'Happy Birthday'.

Ever since Annabeth saw the Toy Story movies, she has LOVED Jesse. She was so excited when she got a Jesse doll for her birthday. She also loves Strawberry Shortcake, and so she decided to combine the two and put Jesse's hat on Strawberry. :)

Yesterday Mom, Nana, and us 4 older kids went to the Gaslight Theatre. It's a place that does plays while you sit and eat. It was our kids' first time going, and it is definately a place that I will be going to again. We got a seat really high up so that we could see the performance really well. The play was "Gnatman Returns". It was a spoof on the movie "Batman Returns". It was SO FUNNY!!! I laughed so hard. The actors were hillarious! I really wish we were allowed to take pictures inside the theatre, because you should have seen the performance. The band was amazing, and we were all clapping to the music several times. Oh my. I can't describe what it was like. Here's the one picture we WERE allowed to take.
