A pretty long post

Wow. It's been a long 3 days. Gosh. There's so much to write that by the time you get about halfway done reading it you may be asleep. :) But, I'm going to try and relate the past few days without boring you to death. :)

Thursday started bright and early. About 5:15 for most of us. We all woke up, and Mom and Dad got ready to go to the hospital. They left about 6:30, and the rest of us had breakfast and got ready. At 9:00, our grandma came to pick us up. First she took us to Walmart because I needed to get some yarn to finish the blanket I've been making for Danielle (I'll get pictures of it eventually and post them). After we left Walmart we went to her house. We had grilled cheese and played the Wii (while I finished the blanket), and at about 11:30 we got ready and she took us to music lessons. While all of this is going on, we've talked to Dad several times. Mom's c-section was originally scheduled for 9:30, but the anesthesiologist was doing another delivery at the time, so she wasn't available. So they bumped it back to 11:00. Then, one of the other doctors wasn't ready, and Mom's OB had other stuff to do, and couldn't wait, so they bumped it back again to about 2.

So Nana took us to our lessons. Dad was going to, but because they bumped it back so far, he couldn't. So she took us. Hannah and I didn't have violin lesson this week, so we just hung out at the MacDonald's house while the other kids had their piano lessons.

After lessons, we went back to Nana's house. About 2:30 Dad texted me... "21 inches, 6lbs 4 oz" (although later he texted me and said "oops. 19 inches") :) We stayed at Nana's house until Mom was out of recovery, and somewhere between 4 and 4:30 Dad came and picked us up. First we went to get dinner (well actually I didn't eat. I just was there pacing back and forth outside because I was so excited) and then we went to the hospital. When we first got there Danielle was in the nursery. I guess she had just had a bath or something and they needed to warm her up. So, we had to wait before Dad was finally able to bring her into Mom's room. Gosh she is so cute! We all got to take turns holding her. Annabeth started, being a big sister for the first time and all. Anyway, we left the hospital probably about 7:30 and got home around 8.

Friday morning Hannah, David and I spent the day here while everyone else went to the farm. You see, there was something wrong with our water down there, and Dad needed to go look at it. The good thing was we were planning on being in town anyway, so we could be close to the hospital. So we got things cleaned up, watched a little I Love Lucy and the Andy Griffith show, and just hung out. After everyone else came back we all got ready and went to the hospital again. Mom was having a hard time yesterday. I guess the nurses were really busy and so they weren't able to give Mom her pain medications when she needed them. (Remember people, she was sliced open) So she was in a lot of pain while we were there. Plus, we had to stand in the hallway for about 20 minutes. I guess they were doing something to Mom and Danielle and we had to leave. We didn't stay too long overall. Plus, Danielle was crying her head off yesterday. When we were there Thursday she didn't make a sound, but gosh. Apparently she found her voice. :) So we went home and let the 2 of them rest.

Today we were woken up by Dad. Apparently Mom had called him and wanted him to go get her and take her home. She wasn't quite ready to come home yet, but she was getting tired of being in so much pain because the nurses weren't on top of things. And Dad said that it has happened every single time. So Dad left about 7:30, while the rest of us stayed home to get the house ready. They came back probably around 12:45 (lots of paperwork and stuff to do at the hospital). Mom has been trying to rest all day. She's gotten a little bit of rest, but not much. Danielle has been crying quite a bit today, but thankfully she's also don't quite a bit of sleeping. Earlier this afternoon we put her in the day seat and brought her into the girls room so she could sleep where it was a little bit quieter. Well, Hannah and Sarah decided to bring blankets and sleep with her. :) I got a picture, although at the time none of them were actually sleeping. :)
Although right now Blogger is not being very cooperative and so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. *scolds Blogger inwardly*

Hope this was interesting, and hopefully I didn't bore you to death. Happy Birthday Danielle!!!

A few more pictures

I'm not going to write at all today. I'm tired and I'm going to bed. :) But I thought I would give you a few more pictures to tide you all over until I do. :) Enjoy!

Tomorrow!!

Yeah, I meant to write the other day, but the problem was that I didn't have any time to take any pictures or anything, and I was going to post pictures of the stuff I've bought online recently. And even if I did have pictures, I can't post them on my phone, which is a problem, and I didn't have time to do it on the laptop. So sorry, no post the other day. :)

Tomorrow is the day! Danielle Marie is coming tomorrow. Wow. In some ways it feels like these past months have flown by so fast, and other times it feels like it's gone so slowly. Especially the beginning. You know, we were pretty careful at the beginning to not get too excited.
I mean, Mom's last pregnancy was a miscarriage, and with this being her 7th c-section and being over 40, we were worried that the baby wouldn't be able to make it. But, God had blessed us, and we're going to have a baby! It's pretty amazing. We're all pretty excited about tomorrow. It's going to be really hard to concentrate on violin lessons. :) I'm going to have to make sure I know my songs REALLY well. :D

Today I had voice lessons. It went well, except for some reason my throat felt really tight today. That's never happened before. My throat actually hurt after I was done. :( I'm not really sure what it was.

We did a LOT of errands today. We went to Walmart, my grandma's house, and a bunch of sporting goods places. I had to get some yarn for a bunch of new blankets I want to make. We went to my grandma's house to drop off and pick up some stuff, and we went to a couple different sporting goods places to look for a certain type of hat. Oh, and then we went to Little Caesars. For being $5, that pizza's pretty good. :) We normally get it on Wednesdays since it's easy.

Tonight has been pretty quiet. Right now we're watching 'Up'. I really like that movie. :) My aunt and uncle took me to see it in the theaters a long time ago and it was awesome.  :) My favorite movie of all time is Facing the Giants, (anyone seen that?) but Up has to be my favorite cartoon movie. :) I'm also working on some more blankets. I've had a lot of time to work on new stuff lately. So far I've finished 2 new blankets this week and I'm working on a third one. I have only had a few orders lately, and I had get yarn for one of them at Walmart and I'm waiting for yarn to come in the mail for the other one. So I've had some extra time for the first time in who-knows-how-long. Plus, it helps take away some of my anxiety about tomorrow. :)

Well, that's all I'm going to write tonight. I'll post tons of pictures tomorrow!!!!!

Sunday

Sundays are always quiet at our house, and today is no exception.
Everybody's just kind of hanging out. Right now we're getting ready to watch the playoff game between the Seahawks and the Falcons, and Mom is taking a nap. So, I suppose nothing too interesting to report there. :) But, I said that I was going to try and post a lot during these last few days before Danielle comes, so that's what I'm going to do. :)

Tonight we have church. It's fellowship this week, and we set up. Well, actually we set up all the time now. We used to set up only half the time, but the other family that did it too doesn't come to our church anymore, so we set up all the time now, which is fine. It's kinda fun. Besides, Dad was always complaining that the lemonade was never made quite right. Now he can make it himself. :D

Last night we watched another U of A basketball game. (I know it sounds like we watch games all the time, but we really don't. I believe this is only the fourth one this season we've seen. We've just happened to be in town 2 different nights this week where there's a game on. We don't have tv at the farm) The first half was pretty good. I don't know about the second half though. There was something else going on during the second half that had my attention. All I know is Arizona creamed Oregon State. They were winning the whole game long. I think the final score was like 80 to 70 or something like that. So they redeemed themselves after Thursday's loss. :)

Um, I guess that's all I have to say for now! :) Tomorrow I want to post pictures of some things that I've bought online that I've loved. Which I know most of you won't care about, but I do. :D

Update

Yeah, yeah. I know. Bad blogger person. But, I have excuses. The flu, Christmas, a baby coming in a week.... There just hasn't been much time for writing lately.

We're finally home now after being in town since Tuesday. Mom had a doctor's appointment early Wednesday morning, so we decided to stay at the house in town Tuesday night so we didn't have to leave super early. Like 6 o'clock early. Well, technically 6:00 isn't early in of itself, but when you think about having to get 8 people ready to go and to pack food and clothes and stuff too.... 6 is early. So we left Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday Mom had her doctor's appointment, and now we finally have a date. Danielle Marie is coming next Thursday. January 17, 2013. I'm so excited. We have music lessons that day, so my grandma is probably going to take us there and then to the hospital. I feel sorry for our teachers. Our attention span that day is going to be about the length of a gnat's. Seriously. It's going to be SO hard to concentrate. Oh well. Don't worry, I will take PLENTY of pictures. :)

Wednesday I also had my voice lesson. It was really nice. It actually went better than I thought it would. I always have a hard time right after a break. (We just had a 3 week Christmas break) I was so relieved this time. :) Although it's weird. I don't actually know what made it such a good lesson, it just was.

Thursday we had violin and piano. Well, we were supposed to have violin, it just didn't happen. You see, we got there, and it turns out our teacher wasn't there. Apparently she was out of town and had tried to get a hold of everyone, but I guess she didn't have Mom's new phone number. Oh well. At least we were only a couple blocks away from piano lessons! :) So we went and hung out while Sarah and Jonathan had their piano lessons. It was fun. :)

Thursday night we watched the U of A vs. Oregon basketball game. They lost. :( After winning their first 14 games, they lost. Oh well. They made a valiant effort. It just wasn't enough. It was so cute. Annabeth was watching, and she kept yelling, 'Just give up Oregon! Just go home!' It was adorable. She is very much looking forward to going to her first Arizona basketball game. She's never been to one before, but all of the rest of us have been to several, and so she wants to have some fun too. The problem is that the games are so late. The starting times of them pretty much all range from 6:00-9:00. Then you take into consideration the fact that the games are 2 hours long... It's pretty late. But Nana has found one that should be early enough for her to go, so that's good. There's only 2 home games left before my great-great aunt comes to visit for 6 weeks from Ohio. She'll stay with my grandma and go to the rest of the games with her.

Friday we spent quite a bit of the morning getting the house clean after we got back. Plus, this neighbor of ours came over. You see, on this vacant lot next door to us the well on the property just spews out water non stop. And nobody knew who owned the property so that we could tell them and it could get fixed. Well, turns out this person owned it, but couldn't figure out why the well was squirting out water. He didn't have any power going to it. Well, turns out that the person that used to own this property also used to own that property, and so both the well on our property and that well were hooked up together. So basically we've been powering that well the whole entire time. And we didn't know about it. So they capped off that well (whatever that means) so it won't spray water anymore. That should also help our electric bill. :)

Friday afternoon we spent a lot of time working on the fence out front. Well, painting it actually. And do you have any idea how much fence there is out there? Seriously. By the time I was done my hand was so sore and cramped I thought it was going to fall off. Which would have made playing violin awfully difficult.... It's not done yet, but it's pretty close. Besides, we were out of paint. It's hard to paint a fence without paint. :)

This morning Dad and Jonathan went to town to go to a friend of our's house. Dad went to go fix their dryer, and Jonathan went to play games with a bunch of the boys from church. We came into town right after lunch. And that's where we are now. Mom is laying down, Dad is out in the garage making drawers for the kitchen, (something we STILL don't have) Jonathan is still gone, I'm working on a blanket, and the other kids are doing random things. Not exactly sure what. :)

So that's my update for today! I'm going to try and posts quite a bit over the next few weeks. I promise!!! And yeah, I know you've heard that before, but I do promise. Besides, I'm going to be so excited about the baby coming the only thing to do is going to be writing. :) And like I said, I promise I'll post tons of pictures!!!!!
